 Keith was part of this year's CMT Music Awards. Not only did Keith perform twice on the show, but he was also honored with Brad Paisley for the Collaborative Video of the Year Award for "Start A Band"! Congratulations Keith & Brad!
Keith performed "Kiss A Girl" as well as made a surprise appearance with Jason Aldean. Keith joined Jason to help sing and play guitar on his #1 single, "She's Country."

Keith to Perform on American Idol Finale

 Sold-out concerts in Chicago and Minneapolis over this past weekend, as part of his "Escape Together World Tour," and now Urban heads to Los Angeles to perform on the American Idol finale on FOX this Wednesday night at 8/7c. Details about Urban's appearance have not been made public.
"I think this year in particular, has been one of the best for American Idol," said Urban. "There are (and were) some truly gifted vocalists. The Rat Pack episode was the best, across the board - nights of singing that I've ever seen on television. I guess what I love most about the show, is watching the musical growth - to see them use the critique given and come back the next week and blow you away......that's the magic of Idol."
Escape Together World Tour Starts Tonight!

 Keith's Escape Together World Tour has started! Keith is in Uncasville, CT tonight at the Mohegan Sun Casino for the the first show of the new tour! If you are lucky enough to be there, we hope you are having a great time! Sugarland was scheduled to open for Keith tonight, but unfortunately Jennifer Nettles (lead singer of Sugarland) has been put on vocal rest. Jason Aldean is opening tonight's show. Little Big Town will be opening tomorrow night's show!

Keith Receives Three ACM Award Nominations

 It has been announced that Keith has received three ACM nominations! Keith is up for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, and Vocal Event of the Year with Brad Paisley for their collaboration on "Start A Band". The Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards will be broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 8pm ET on the CBS.

Keith Picks "Defying Gravity" for New Album Title

 Keith Urban has selected Defying Gravity as the title of his new album, set for release on March 31. The official announcement was made Thursday morning (Jan. 22). The project's first single, "Sweet Thing," has already climbed to No. 8 on Billboard's country chart. "I've always approached making records as a journey where I just have to let myself go," he said. "If the conditions are just right the music will reflect the mood and feeling of where I am in my life." Explaining the album title, he added, "Defying Gravity comes from the lyrics of a song on the album, and it just struck me at the time as a phrase that really defined the joyous, optimistic and uplifting spirit that seemed to show itself while making the album." In May, Urban will launch his Escape Together world tour with shows in 58 cities in North America. The tour will feature a revolving list of other acts, including Taylor Swift, Sugarland, Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum and the Zac Brown Band.
Keith to Perform at Daytona 500 Pre-Race Show

Keith will perform at the Daytona 500 Pre-Race Show, the pre-race extravaganza leading up to the start of the prestigious "Great American Race" at Daytona International Speedway, on Sunday, February 15th.
Urban is set to perform three of his eight #1 songs prior to the 51st annual Daytona 500 - the season-opening event to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the biggest, richest and most prestigious stock car race in the world. All race fans that purchase Pre-Race access pass for the Daytona 500 will be able to view Urban's Daytona 500 Pre-Race Show as well as the driver introductions from the grass tri-oval area.

"We're thrilled to have one of the most popular singers in the world in Keith Urban perform a heart-stopping pre-race show that will get the Daytona 500 and the new NASCAR season off to a roaring start."
