Hi All!

I haven't posted in a while, but I wanted to share. I got home from work last night and I got a call from my friend Brenna telling me to get down to Ocean Way Studios on Music Row ASAP because Keith was doing a taping for the Wal-Mart Soundcheck Series. ON MY WAYYYY! Haha! [guitarist]

I got there and Ocean Way is really just an old church that has been converted into a recording studio. It is small, but it has the really tall ceiling and tall windows of an old church. Pretty cool. There were maybe 50-75 people there plus the recording crew. Ahhh!!

Keith was so cute! He said he was really nervous because they hadn't played some of the songs before...except in the studio, of course. They sounded great though. Between songs, the guys would have a little jam session to gear up for the next song or just to kill a little time. I love that kind of impromptu stuff. When they weren't jamming, it was really quiet and Brenna and I were just being silly and would say stuff like, "We love you,Keith!" "You da bomb!" "Yeah, JFlo!" Haha it was so quiet and Keith was 'right there' we had to say something lol! Brenna was actually working as part of the taping crew so I went up a little closer to Keith and sang and danced and it was great!

At one point between songs, Keith did his "I'll give you a topic to discuss" last night it was, "Does a lightning rod on the top of a church show a lack of faith?" haha how does he come up with that stuff-lol!?

Here are the songs they played while I was there, in no particular order. I think there may have been one or two more since the taping had already started when I got there.

Shut Out the Lights
'Til Summer Comes Around
Put You in a Song x2
Without You
I Told You So x2
Days Go By

I'm not sure when the taping will be online, but it when it is available it will be at I took a couple pics with my blackberry, but my camera it pretty crappy. This is may be the best one...

I just have to say that I love Nasvhille! This taping definitely got me excited for the tour next year!!

Hope you all are doing well!

WOW, you are one lucky monkey to be able to be there so close to the action. Thanks for sharing your story here. This is another reason why I would love to live in Nashville!

Thank you Kylene! It's good to see you on the board again. We are trying to stir up some activity over here. Keith talked about Without you on the GAC Top 20 this weekend. The song wasn't written for him but he said it was too much like his own life not to record it. (Somebody sent it to him coz it sounded so much like Keith.)
