About Danny Rader I play guitar, ganjo, mandolin, bazouki, piano, b3, and anything else I can make an interesting noise with. I'm currently in KEITH URBAN's touring band. I love my wife, my son, my God, my dog, good coffee, scotch, and cigars. I moved to Nashville in March of 2004, and since then I've shared a stage with: JASON ALDEAN, BIG & RICH, BIG KENNY, SARAH BUXTON, TYLER DICKERSON, JESSICA HARP, CAROLYN DAWN JOHNSON, JOHN RICH, LEANN RIMES, BERING STRAIT, EMILY WEST, and GRETCHEN WILSON In addition to touring, I love making records. I've been blessed to work with some awesome artists including: TRACE ADKINS, JASON ALDEAN, BIG & RICH, BOMSHEL, BIG KENNY, TYLER DICKERSON, JOSH GRACIN, JESSICA HARP, JEWEL, THE LOST TRAILORS, JOHN RICH, JOSH THOMPSON, BILL ANDERSON, MARTY STUART, and GRETCHEN WILSON.

I'm sure this Danny guy is great ..but Rodriguez is the best. He is greatly missed by many fans...and I don't what Keith was thinking breaking up that band. they were the tightest band in Country today...and this guy will have huge shoes to fill.

Kyla.
Yes, Chris R. is fabulous and a wonderful person as a bonus. I will miss terribly not seeing him and Brad Rice with Keith, but I go to see Keith Urban no matter who he has as bandmates or opening acts. I sincerely hope you get to see Chris R. when he is performing again. If I get the chance to catch him in action again, believe me, I will in a heartbeat!

Hey there.. Yes! I will most definitely make the effort to see Chris perform elsewhere- as I would Jerry especially too. As for seeing Urban again- yes, I do still Love his music and always will. I will perhaps go see him again someday. I've just seen him a lot! over the years, and think that I might be Urbaned out for a while. Although grateful for all the great shows he has put on. I just wish for once he would keep his band the same. In 9 years he's changed his band something like 4 times; even if its just been a few members at a time. Its rather strange. I've never seen an artist or band, change it as much as him....its like a addiction. A lot of Fans(not just myself) become just as "in tune" (no pun intended) with the band.. as much as Keith himself. I think Keith needs to realize that. Rodriguez,Flowers,Mchugh, Jeffers, and Steve King are the best people that have ever backed Keith up. Hands down.
but enjoy your Keith shows to the fullest! and I hope you too- are able to share in another show with Rodriguez. He's with Leann Rimes now...and also Kenny Loggins for certain shows throughout the year. Many Blessings

Hey you guys....don't urban out on Keith yet!!!Look....he may have changed band mates a few times, but we got to look at his reasoning.....they have to spend time away from their wives and their children for times on end....he felt they needed a break to pursue other parts of their lives at their own free will.....other memebrs just needed time out,or had personal issues.Keith is a very loving, and understanding guy.....and you also need to remember that he wishes to expand his music on different levels....so don't be so hard on him, pleas!?

Why do people assume that Keith is the one breaking up the band every time someone changes? We know he did away with the first band back in 04 but since than maybe it's just been that band members get tired of being on the road so much away from home and their families and want to move on to something different. We don't know the reasons behind the changes is all I'm saying! I go to see Keith and not necessarily whos in his band. That being said, I will miss Chris R.

I agree with Gail/California, Caroline and kuangel. Let's just be thankful that Keith is still loving playing live and touring and we support him and whatever band mates he may have up there on stage with him.

I just watched the Walmart Soundcheck with Keith. Danny is singing backup for Keith on "Without You" and it sounds wonderful. I think Danny Rader is going to be a great asset to Keith and the guys! Can't wait to hear all the new songs live in concert. Keith and the guys will rock it! In case you haven't watched the soundcheck yet, here is the link for 6 songs and an interview:

I can't wait to hear the new band. I agree with most of you guys - I go to see Keith, and it's been that he's had such talented bandmates over the years, especially Chris R, who will be greatly missed. They've all helped to make Keith's concerts so exciting! However, Keith is a fantastic musician and a great judge of talent, and he surely will select new mates based on their talent and passion. I'm not the least bit concerned that the new band might not measure up, because with Keith as front man, how can they not!!!??? I'm so excited - September can't come soon enough!!

As long as Keith is still singing and touring...and the band sounds awesome and gives us a great show, I will be at whatever show I can be. Sure will miss Brad And Chris, but I can't wait to see Danny live and see what he brings to the band...
